DescriptionEmerald, ruby and diamond set Naval Crown brooch, mounted in 18ct yellow gold. The sails and prows of the brooch are all set with modern brilliant cut diamonds and the lower bar is set with modern brilliant cut diamonds and square cut emeralds and rubies. Size: 2.6cms wide x 1.5cms high Second Hand London 1993Naval Cap sweetheart Regimental brooch in 15ct yellow gold with green and red enamelled Kings Crown. The fouled anchor centre is assumed to be platinum surrounded by 15ct gold laurel leaves. On the reverse the pin fastens securely in a handmade rollover safety catch and '15CT' is clearly stamped at the bottom in the centre. The brooch would have been made before 1932, as that is when they stopped using 15ct gold. This was always reserved for the higher quality pieces. Size: 27mm x 25mm Supplied in a Connards Presentation box Second Hand  An excellent Regimental brooch of The Royal Flying Corps. This sweetheart brooch has superbly detailed gold wings with textured finish. The RFC insignia enamelled inna bright red, on top of a green enamelled laurel wreath and embellished with a Kings crown and red enamel. The gold used in this brooch is all 15ct yellow and the condition of the piece given its age is superb. The wings have a lovely curvature which is shown in the picture of the brooch on its side. The RFC was the earliest form of the what would then become the RAF when it merged with the Royal Navy Air Service in 1918. All indicators as the the age of this brooch, being at least easily 100 years old and still in excellent condition. The brooch would have been made before 1932, as that is when they stopped using 15ct gold. This was always reserved for the higher quality pieces and it is secured in place with a very traditional C safety clasp, again typical of a much older brooch. Measures 56mm wide x 18mm high Supplied in a Connards Presentation box Second HandRoyal Army Ordnance Corps, regimental brooch in 9ct yellow gold. With blue enamelled Moto and Regiment within the Garter and scroll and central shield bearing the Ordnance Arms with blue, white and red enamelling, and finished with the red enamelled Kings Crown. Excellent condition for the enamel and craftsmanship. The gold is all with a lovely satinised finish, and is secured with a handmade Tiffany catch. Measures 2.4cm wide x 3cm high Supplied in a Connards presentation box Second HandThe Argyll & Sutherland Highlanders sweetheart bar brooch with very fine hand pierced central 'L' interlaced and reversed of the late Princess Louise. To the left is a boar's head, to the right a wild cat and above the Princess's Royal Ducal Coronet. Below a blue enamel ribbon with "THE ARGYLL & SUTHERLAND HIGHLANDERS". The brooch is mounted in 15ct yellow gold with a platinum faced bar. On the top of the bar it has been stamped "15CT" and to the reverse the pin fastens securely in a safety style C catch. The brooch would have been made before 1932, as that is when they stopped using 15ct gold. This was always reserved for the higher quality pieces and in the case of this brooch it has then been faced with Platinum on top of the bar. The pin is stamped "9CT" for a 9ct yellow gold pin. Measures 51mm wide x 17mm tall Supplied in a Connards Presentation box Second Hand  A superb example of one quality Regimental brooch. The Royal Engineers sweetheart brooch with a diamond set laurel wreath surrounding the latin Moto - "Honi Soit Qui Mal Y Pense" all enamelled in blue with Queen Elizabeth II insignia in the centre. Embellished with a white gold crown and red enamel. All made in 9ct white gold and with 9ct yellow gold used around the enamelled parts. This a most beautiful brooch, and originally made and retailed by Garrards of London. It will have been made by the family company of J.W Barrett in Birmingham who specialised in making Regimental Brooches.
