Ruby and Diamond Vintage Cluster Plaque Ring, 18ct Gold Mount

This stunning oblong Ruby and Diamond plaque cluster ring is set with the added feature of 3 Real Pearls, the central smaller pearl is surrounded by 6 rubies and then the Victorian cut diamonds are set along the remainder of the ring, interspaced with a large Real Pearl at each ends. For both style and comfort the corners are cut at a 45 degree angle.

The ring is curved over the finger and sits very low to the finger. The sides are all hand pierced with a beautiful gallery and the shank is a split shank with leaf centre.

Circa 1910/1920 Second HandThe central diamond is surrounded by four diamond points set in very fine millegrain settings. To either side of the central diamond are well matched real pearls, both measuring 3.6mm in diameter. The D shape shank tapers from the pearls and inside the shank are Swedish hallmarks. The ring was made in 1942 and typical of this time the 18ct gold mounting is a lovely rosey colour. Diamond = 0.35cts approx. Maker - Gustav Dahlgren & Co. Fourteen brilliant cut diamonds surround the sapphire in a white gold millegrain setting and the ring is finished with three diamonds set down the shoulders meeting the yellow gold flat band shank. All mounted in 18ct gold with full struck hallmark inside the band including the commemorative Millennium Mark which could be used during 1999 and 2000. All three a bright, well matched, vibrant pink sapphires and interspaced by three modern brilliant cut diamonds. Following the curvature of the ovals, the middle diamond is slightly smaller and the other two diamonds are much bigger to fill in the space between the pink sapphires. All the mounting is made in 18ct white gold with claw settings. The shank joins in a traditional split leaf and shoulder style finish.
